UrboPulse

upf · the UrboPulse Factory

Install upf

upf is a deterministic Python control plane, packaged as an agent skill, that stamps repeatable agents-plus-code workflows (ADWs) into a git repository. Code owns sequencing, retries and acceptance; coding agents work inside bounded phases; every run leaves a trace you can read in a local UI. It works with Claude Code and pi as harnesses.

curl -fsSL https://urbopulse.com/install | sh

One line, no token, no account.

Requirements

Already on the machine, before you run the installer. upf runs on macOS and Linux with the tools below.

  • git, curl and tar
  • uv: installation guide
  • bun, also needed for the trace UI

What the script does, and does not do

It does

  • Download the latest release from gitlab.com/urbopulse/upf.
  • Verify its sha256.
  • Install under ~/.local/share/upf.
  • Write a upf launcher into ~/.local/bin.

It does not

  • Edit any shell profile.
  • Install any dependency.

You may need to add ~/.local/bin to your PATH; the script says so.

Read it first: the script is a release asset. View install.sh, or run sh install.sh --help to list the flags: --version, --stamp, --harness, --prefix, --bin-dir, --dry-run and --uninstall.

First run

Inside any git repository:

upf stamp --harness claude_code # or: pi
upf # the interactive prompt
The upf interactive prompt: the UrboPulse logo, version, key hints, factory summary and the list of slash-command workflows

Or stamp while installing, from inside the repo:

curl -fsSL https://urbopulse.com/install | sh -s -- --stamp --harness claude_code

Upgrade and verify

  • Upgrade. Running the installer again upgrades.
  • Verify by hand. Each release also has the archive and a .sha256 file.
  • Releases and changelog. gitlab.com/urbopulse/upf/-/releases

Uninstall

Run the installer with --uninstall:

curl -fsSL https://urbopulse.com/install | sh -s -- --uninstall

Run sh install.sh --help to see exactly what it covers.
